Mini French Toast

I often have left over baguette that become too hard the next day and are good for making croutons. So I tried to make French toast and the result was very satisfactory. It is easier to slice it the day when it is still fresh.


  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup 1% milk
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar or maple syrup
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1/2 baguette cut


  1. Mix in a bowl the eggs, milk, sugar or syrup and salt.
  2. Soak the bread slices on both sides.
  3. Bake in a buttered pan over medium heat/hot  for a few minutes on each side.
